How to send a parcel

There are 3 EASY ways to send a parcel

1. Take your parcel to a ParcelShop

Your local Hermes ParcelShop is a convenient alternative to a Post Office. You can book online, with the Hermes app or – if the shop has a Print In-Store device – just turn up with your parcel. Whichever way you choose, you can use our Print In-Store devices to print your label if you don’t have a printer.

2. Drop off your parcel at a locker

We have 1,900+ Lockers across the UK. They’re open 24/7, are covered by CCTV and are located in convenient places, like supermarkets.

Our largest Locker is 66cm x 41cm x 38cm – plenty for bigger parcels.

Find your nearest Locker and book online or with our app,

3. Arrange courier collection

Let us collect your parcel from you with our door-to-door courier service. Choose when you’d like us to collect it – up to 7 days in advance – and we’ll deliver it within 3 to 5 days from collection.

Available with Standard delivery, book your courier collection now, either online or with the Hermes app, available on the App Store and Google Play.

3. Fill in your parcel details

Let us know what’s in your parcel (read our simple guide on what you can and can’t send) and how much it’s worth. We include £20 cover for FREE and, for peace of mind, you can increase the cover if your parcel’s worth more. You can also request a signature as proof of delivery.

4. Let us know where it's going

Tell us where your parcel is going and – if you’d like your recipient to receive tracking updates – add their email address. We’ll also ask if there’s a safe place where we can deliver the parcel, as well as a return address, your email address and phone number, just in case we can’t deliver the parcel.

5. Pay and print your parcel

All you need to do now is pay then print your label. If you don’t have a printer, you can use a Print In-Store device at most of our ParcelShops – you can find your nearest one here.

With Hermes, you can take your parcel straight to one of our ParcelShops and fill in the details on a Print In-Store device. Once you’ve printed and attached the label, just hand your parcel to a member of store staff.

Where can I send parcels to?

You can send parcels across the UK with Hermes – the only exemptions are the Channel Islands, PO Boxes and British Forces Post Office locations.

Some locations cost us more to deliver to; we may add a location charge of £2.40 when sending parcels to certain postcodes (unless sending to the same postcode area the parcel is sent from e.g BT2 to BT18).

We also deliver parcels to over 190 countries across the world. Simply book your parcel online and send using our courier collection service, ParcelShops or Lockers.
